We have exciting news to share! Construction has begun on the future home of Trona Valley FCU’s headquarters! The new HQ will be located in Rock Springs, at 1700 Gateway Boulevard and is projected to be completed in late 2027. The building will include space for our administrative branch, contact center, back-office employees, and a second branch for our members. My hope is our new HQ has the room to accommodate many years of growth as Trona Valley FCU continues to expand and add more staff. I also want to note that there are no plans to close any of our existing locations. The current headquarters, located at 840 Hitching Post Drive in Green River, was completed in January 1998. At the time, Trona Valley held about $39 million in assets, had 8,200 members, and 29 employees. Few would have imagined in 25 years we’d have completely outgrown the building. Today, Trona Valley holds over $463 million in assets, serves about 31,000 members, and employs over 100 people. I’m delighted that we’ve grown so much, and I’m grateful to our team, many of whom are working in tight quarters as we make the most of our existing spaces. Once completed, the new HQ will house up to 70 employees, with room to add another 40 offices in the years ahead. We’re working hard to be the best financial institution we can be for our members and communities. Our strength is in our members, and true to our cooperative principles, the success of the credit union is passed along to you. In 2025, we paid a record high of over $7 million in dividends to our members. We also reduced and removed various fees, saving our members more than $300,000. In 2025, our team volunteered over 600 hours to the community, and the credit union has provided more than $60,000 in grants, sponsorships, and other donations. We are extremely proud of the role we play and will continue to work to build up the areas we serve. Part of what makes credit unions different than other financial institutions is the structure of our leadership. Like other cooperatives, our Board of Directors is composed of volunteer members who ensure the credit union stays true to its cooperative purpose. Unlike large regional and national banks, Trona Valley is not driven by earnings or value to its stockholders. That might explain why so many communities have seen the big banks close their physical branches. The vision of our Board is to help fill that gap, even for small rural areas. That is why I’m happy to announce that Trona Valley will be opening a branch in Manila, Utah, with a second rural location to be announced before year-end. These new locations will be built to serve small communities in our field of membership and provide member-first products and services.
